Series 2. The next 12 pictures show a job MPS did for Don H. He was selling his home and needed repairs that the buyer’s inspector found on the chimney.
#1 On the top of the chimney the bricks, mortar and crown had deteriorated. #2 Many bricks had had thier facing actually “pop off” #3 Scaffolding was set up- 4″bucks” on levels for a safe work area. #4 We drilled out the bad bricks.
#5 Tore down the top chimney. #6 Rebuilt the chimney and framed the crown. #7 The new concrete crown that overhangs the bricks. #8 The old cap is installed.
#9 This shows the “new” old matching bricks. Note now the water will fall off the new crown and not touch the bricks. #10 MPS complete top. We think we matched the bricks and mortar about as close as possible, nice job! #11 The mortar was still drying on this side view, snowing the “new” old brick replacement. #12 Final picture of completed job. Nice work fellows!!
